I finally managed to do some aquarell paintings although I'm for some reason quite scared of that medium. But it was a lot of fun, I just painted what came into my head without thinking or judging too much, that was exactly the state I wanted to reach. Of course they're Frida Kahlo inspired;)

Hi Everyone,here come my two newest pics, firstly one jam inspired piece I used to play a bit with lighting.

In this picture I tried to change my style a bit, I really want to try something new. My source of inspiration was the German author Jakob Boehme from the 16/17th century, I think I'm going to illustrate some of his texts.

Hi Everyone^^

One of the things I like best about summer and early autumn is making jam ( So far I made peach chutney and banana mango jam).
So I decided to design a little series of labels for your jam glasses.
You can feel free to use them for your own jam, just NO COMMERCIAL USE.

The Layout is for printing them on an A4 Sheet with 12 round labels of a 6cm diameter.

Ibis and Jacquel

I wanted to paint this picture for ages, it is inspired by the amazing novel "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman.
I just love this book and Mr. Jacquel and Mr. Ibis are two of my favourite Characters. They're actually the egyptian gods Thot and Anubis running a funeral parlor in the American outback.

Alchemy

This piece was influenced by a little woodcut illustration in "The book of English Magic" by Phillip Carr-Gomm, it was part of the chapter about Alchemy and depicted the marriage of the White Queen (Mercury) and the Red King (Sulphur).
I loved the book, all this stories about magicians, druids and alchemists were extremely inspiring. In addition I listended to Dan Brown audiobooks, I think this together made my little fantasy-braincells working double shiftsXD

Hi Everyone,

this post is a bit late, but a few days ago my first book has been published by Ars Edition. It is called Ich hab dir ein Geschenk gepflanzt which means something like " I planted a present for you", but that's probably a bad translation;) It is an illustrated gift-book telling a little story about friendship which also contains a small package of forget-me-not seeds. It is only available in german, here you can buy it in most book stores or via Amazon.
I wish you a very happy spring time, go outside, enjoy the sun and maybe plant some flowers:)

Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and by Mexican Americans living in the United States and Canada. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on November 2 in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day (November 1) and All Souls' Day (November 2). Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. Due to occurring shortly after Halloween, the Day of the Dead is sometimes thought to be a similar holiday, although the two actually have little in common. The Day of the Dead is a time of celebration, where partying and eating is common.

She is always with me. I am never alone."

From "St. Lucy's Home for Girls raised by Wolves" by Karen Russell, a book of very beautiful shortstories.
Somehow Undersea Mary really touched me...

The café with it's little gift shop has exactly this white-furniture-friendly-flower-teapotstyle I love, and they are kind enough to show my pictures there for a whole month. Frankly, I think they fit in perfectly:)

I had the chance to design a flyer for the play "La Dispute" by Pierre de Marivaux, it will be performed in Munich at the beginning of August. I'm quite happy how it turned out:)

And here's another "old" picture, but in less than two weeks I'll have time again to paint.
I'm really looking forward to it.

I really had no time to paint anything decent in the last few weeks, because I have to finish a lot of things for university, so I decided to post my typography project, I have to present tomorrow.

I had to do a series of three poster, the first one contains a text I had to write, it's about my teacup;) the second one is an alliteration with all words begining with &.

The last one is a quotation by some guy called Villem Flusser, he said: sometimes it's necessary for our soul to dare to make far away journeys and return home miserably.
